Corporate History
Argyle Security, Inc. initially known as Argyle Security Acquisition Corporation, was formed as a special purpose acquisition company, to build an integrated organization that will provide world-class physical electronic security solutions. Argyle Security was co-founded by Bob Marbut, Chairman and Co-CEO and Ron Chaimovski, Vice-Chairman and Co-CEO. In addition to Marbut and Chaimovski, Argyle's founding Board of Directors includes Gen. Wesley K. Clark and John J. (Chip) Smith. Here are some highlights:
- June 2005
Argyle Security, Inc., known initially as Argyle Security Acquisition Corporation, was formed as a Special Purpose Acquisition Company ("SPAC") with the vision of becoming a leading global security company in the physical electronic security sector.
- January 2006
Argyle’s IPO was completed, enabling it to begin a global search for its initial acquisition and one that best fit its clearly defined criteria for Argyle’s first transaction.
- December 2006
After investigating hundreds of target acquisition opportunities, Argyle's first transaction was announced – ISI Security Group, which management felt closely fit Argyle's acquisition criteria.
- July 31, 2007
The ISI transaction was successfully closed, with ISI Security Group becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Argyle Security, and all members of the ISI management team continuing in their previous roles. This event transformed Argyle from a SPAC into an operating company listed on the OTC Bulletin Board (ARGL). Argyle Security, Inc. officially welcomed ISI to the Argyle family.
